ETP Tinplate Sheet for Can Making and Metal Packaging

ETP Tinplate Sheet, also known as Electrolytic Tinplate or SPTE, is a low-carbon steel sheet coated with a controlled layer of tin through an electrolytic plating process.

What Is ETP Tinplate Sheet?

ETP stands for Electrolytic Tinplate. It is manufactured by applying metallic tin to both surfaces of a prepared low-carbon steel substrate through an electrolytic plating process.

The finished product combines the structural properties of steel with the functional surface characteristics of tin.

ETP is one of the most widely used metallic materials for food cans, closures, printed packaging and general can-making applications.

ETP Tinplate Structure
